I see Niihau and it's operation by the sinclair family as a good thing for the hawaiian people. The very fact that it is private has allowed the culture to thrive and prosper on the island. In addition all the residents recieve FREE medical care and protection from developers, tourist, and the negitave infulances of the Americized Hawaii. I'm happy to know there are is one place on this earth where the culture, and language is use as a way of life and not for visiting tourist.
