Aloha Alika and Kamalani. I am voting yes. The reason being that marriage is between a Man and a women, no more no less. When they say that the fear the constitution can be changed on a whim is not true. That is not to say that peoples same-sex rights should be ignored. They should have the right to live their own lives as they wish, but it should not be called a marraige, it should be called something else, "partnership, whatever" having rights like everyone else.
Actually for the Hawaiians, the bigger threat is Linda Lingle. She alread said in the Maui News in August of 1995 that the Sovereignty movement is the reason for the downturn in the economy. Also, she appointed people to run this county that has affected us in a very adverse way. I was awarded a claim for my disabilty as I was injured in the line of duty. Workmens compensation ruled against County, Linda was approached by many people about my situation and she failed to deal with it. Many incidents like mine has happened on Maui, bless us if she becomes governor. Uncle Charlie
