Dear Uncle,

I have just spent many hours reading your site, and wanted to say "Mahalo nui
loa!" before I turn in to bed, bleary-eyed, but excited about all the
information and knowledge I gained tonight. I am living on the mainland in
Washington, outrigger canoeing and reading about my culture. But I want to
come home. The time is now for our native sovereignty. It seems that not many
Hawaiians talk about it here, except for me and a few wahine friends. Its as
if they feel it does not affect them here, too busy being "Americans", eh?
Although I am far from all the activity, I won't forget what the Queen said to
her people, " 'Onipa'a". I am glad to know that this has never been forgotten
by the Kanaka Mauoli back home.

Aloha, a hui hou,

Kehau
