Oops! didn't know that I had to erase the original message. On the Big Island of Hawaii, many people have metal corrugated rooves because of the heavy rainfall. If they had wood rooves, things would sprout out and start growing on them. How would you like to weed your roof?
As far as jobs go... There are many well paying positions on all islands. I currently work at an escrow company and my husband teaches college. There are many jobs for those who are looking for them. Some people would rather take life a little slower.
